Age 19

Zainab is from Bo, Southern Sierra Leone. She joined our care after she was found suffering from ritual child abuse.

She is in the 4th grade at Carl Maria Primary School, where her favorite subject is Math. Zainab's best friend is Musu, who also lives in the link house. The girls love playing soccer together when they aren't at school. Zainab's favorite color is green.

Zainab has a very quiet spirit and has come a long way in her confidence since first arriving. She finds her confidence when she dances and gets cheered on by the girls and team. This summer, she was brave enough to attempt to recite all the books of the Bible. Although she didn't accomplish her goal, we were all so proud of her for having the courage to even try.

Zainab is a Christian and her favorite verse is John 11:35. Zainab wants to be a tailor one day when she grows up. We are thankful for Zainab and are so proud of her progress here!
